What is the primary function of the epoxy dome?
The epoxy dome acts as a magnifying, protective optical lens. It shields the internal graphic design from wear, deepens color contrast, and gives the clip a premium, glossy depth.
Does the epoxy layer add significant weight to the clip?
No. The resin is highly lightweight. It adds a sleek, physical dimension to the clip face without adding any noticeable weight when worn in your hair.
Is the epoxy dome rubbery or hard to the touch?
It cures to a smooth, firm, durable finish. It is solid enough to resist daily scratches but has just enough elastic memory to prevent shattering upon impact.
Will extreme heat from a hair dryer melt or soften the epoxy?
Standard blow-drying will not affect the cured dome. However, avoid keeping industrial heat guns or high-heat styling tools directly pressed against the resin surface.
Can the epoxy dome shatter if it is accidentally stepped on?
It will not shatter into dangerous glass shards. Under extreme crushing weight, it may compress or crack locally, but it will hold its structural form.
Does this clip have a completely smooth edge?
Yes. The surface tension of the liquid resin during curing creates naturally smooth, rounded, fluid borders around the perimeter of the hair clip face.
Can I wear this hair clip safely in heavy rain or high humidity?
Yes. The face of the clip is completely waterproof and impervious to ambient moisture, making it highly reliable in all weather conditions.
How does this clip perform on thick, coarse hair types?
It performs exceptionally well. The underlying metal backing provides the raw clamping power needed, while the outer dome serves as the decorative element.
Does the glossy finish reflect light intensely?
It features a brilliant high-gloss finish that catches light beautifully, giving the underlying graphics an eye-catching, vibrant sheen.
Will the metal base tarnish or change colors underneath the epoxy dome?
No. The airtight seal created by the cured epoxy completely prevents oxygen from reaching the front metal surface, preserving its exact appearance forever.
Do these epoxy dome clips cause hair creasing?
The smooth outer profile makes handling the clip effortless, and the internal tooth design distributes tension evenly to limit sharp hair creases.
